1.What is BlackBerry® solution?
The BlackBerry® solution consists of smartphones integrated with software that enables access to a variety of data and communication services. Pushmail, organizer applications, internet access, and instant messaging are among the many services that the BlackBerry® solution provides.
2.What is Pushmail?
Push mail is the type of email that automatically reaches your phone just like it reaches your Yahoo or Gmail inboxes or email client (e.g. MS Outlook®, Lotus® Notes) mailbox. And you can access emails instantly and use other features of email client like office calendar, contact list etc. You do not need to go through the process of logging in and getting connected to the server/ website anymore with your BlackBerry®smartphone in hand.
3. Will BlackBerry® solution work with my corporate email server that runs on Lotus® Domino® or Microsoft® Exchange®?
Yes, BlackBerry® solution will work with Lotus® Domino® and Microsoft® Exchange®.
4. What if I do not use any corporate mail server like MS Exchange and use my personal email like Yahoo/Gmail/Hotmail etc ?
The mails from your email accounts will reach your BlackBerry® smartphone automatically. The BlackBerry® solution can accommodate up to 10 email accounts, combining your business and personal correspondence. It will work with Yahoo, Gmail, Hotmail and any other POP3/IMAP email account as long as POP/IMAP access is enabled from these accounts. The POP3/IMAP access may be free or a paid service as per policy of your mail account service provider.
5. Why do I need BlackBerry® smartphone when I can access emails from my existing handset ?
You can access web mails from any handset using Grameenphone Internet- but the difference between a BlackBerry® smartphone and any other handset is that from any regular handset, you will not avail email client (e.g. MS Outlook®, Lotus® Notes) or web mails automatically. You need to go through the process of logging in and getting connected to the server/website. With a BlackBerry® solution, mails are automatically pushed to your handset.
6. What attachment formats does BlackBerry® smartphone support ?
You can view and download popular attachment formats including Microsoft® Word®, Excel® and PowerPoint®, Adobe® PDF, image formats like BMP, JPG etc.
7. Why should I choose the BlackBerry® solution?
Any Grameenphone postpaid subscriber can choose the BlackBerry® solution. If you are using MS Exchange® or Lotus Domino server, then BlackBerry® Enterprise Server will best meet your organization's needs. You first need to have the additional hardware integrated with your existing email server.If you are a Business Solutions subscriber, your Key Account Manager (KAM) will be able to help you in this regard.If you are an individual customer and do not use MS Exchange server or Lotus Domino, then BlackBerry® Internet Bundle will best serve your purposes.
8. Can we get BlackBerry® handheld from somewhere else and use the service from Grameenphone?
Yes, you can use the service from Grameenphone by considering following conditions-1. Subscribers have the right to choose their BlackBerry® handset /device from related companies authorized retailers. BlackBerry Handset/devices should not be locked (network locked) with particular operator2. GP will not provide any after sales services (hardware & software related) to out sourced BlackBerry® Handhelds3. GP will provide only BlackBerry® services related (BlackBerry® Internet Bundle & BlackBerry® Enterprise Server related) assistance.4. GP can not ensure smooth performance of BlackBerry® service in external BlackBerry® smartphones.

10. Can I use BlackBerry® while traveling abroad ?
You can use your BlackBerry® smartphone anywhere under the extensive coverage of Grameenphone network in Bangladesh. By subscribing to International Roaming service of Grameenphone on your BlackBerry® smartphone, you can stay connected through your existing Grameenphone number in 123 countries. You can make or receive voice calls and SMS in these countries.
