5G is the fifth generation of mobile network technology. It is an improved version of 4G LTE, which brings much faster speeds and more capacity.

5G is not just an improvement in speed, but a completely different technology from 4G.      
Speed: 5G is up to 5 times faster than 4G. This allows you to download a full HD quality movie in a few minutes.      
Latency: 5G has a network response time (latency) that is 30% faster than 4G, which is very helpful for online gaming and live streaming.

Yes, to use 5G you need a 5G-enabled phone or device that is enlisted/approved on the Grameenphone network. A detailed list of handsets is provided on our website.

No, you do not need to change your 4G SIM card to use 5G.

If you move outside the 5G coverage area, your phone will automatically connect to the next available network, usually 4G LTE, and continue to work normally.

If you are in a 5G coverage area and the network mode is set to Auto, you will see a 5G icon next to the signal bar on your handset display.
