Grameenphone, GD Assist & Biman launches Healthcare Tourism in Malaysia

Customers of the leading telecom operator of the country, Grameenphone, will now be able to enjoy Healthcare tourism in Malaysia.

Grameenphone along with GD Assist Ltd (subsidiary of Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd) and Biman Bangladesh Airlines recently committed to separate agreements with Malaysian telecom operator Digi and Malaysia Healthcare Travel Council (MHTC). MHTC was established under the Ministry of Health Malaysia, bringing together the nation's dual heritage of hospitality and medical innovation, highlighting Malaysia as the preferred healthcare travel destination in the Asian region. This is the first such offer in Bangladesh from a telecom operator.

Customers have to visit GD Assist office (JR Tower, 13th Floor, 46 Mohakhali C/A, Dhaka) for enrolment first.

Under this agreement 02 separate health packages have been designed i.e. 1) USD 800 with 5 Star Hotel & 2) USD 600 with 4 Star Hotel. These are 2 night packages for 2 persons which includes Visa Fee for 2 pax; Airport transfer to hotel and back, each way-both ways; Hotel to Hospital transfer and back fare, each way-both ways; Half day sightseeing tour. 

Prince Court Medical Centre & Gleneagles Kuala Lumpur – these two top Hospitals in Malaysia have been selected for the packages. 

The enrolled customers for the packages with GD Assist will also avail 20% discount on Base Fare of Air Tickets (both Business & Economy) from Biman Bangladesh Airlines for travel to Malaysia.

In addition, Grameenphone customers with international roaming subscriptions will be able to enjoy Digi’s merchant reward offers during their stay in Malaysia. Customers willing to avail the benefits have to show their mobile screen with Digi Network at merchant outlets prior to get the offers. GP Roamers shall also enjoy 50% OFF on Voice & Data services while roaming with Digi network in Malaysia.

Employees of Grameenphone, GD Assist & Biman shall also be eligible for these packages.
