Grameenphone Ltd. is going to launch an economic SMS service for its outbound roaming customers from April 30, 2015.
This new service will allow the roaming customers of Grameenphone to send SMS to any Bangladeshi mobile number from abroad at only BDT 2 (VAT applicable).
Outbound Roamers of Grameenphone will be able to send maximum 5 Economic SMSes per day. Besides, the regular Roaming SMS Service will stay AS IS.
To send an Economic SMS, a roamer has to dial in a short-code number (*111*5*9#), typing in the destination number and message text (separated by a -) of maximum 140 characters within a 1 minute time window.
Grameenphone has introduced this new and highly innovative offer, which will ensure worry-free roaming at an affordable price for its valued outbound roaming customers. This is just the beginning and in the coming days, more & more innovative services will be introduced to help the subscribers go beyond.
