Grameenphone opens another day care center
Grameenphone Ltd. opened another day care center for the children of its employees near GPHOUSE at Basundhara recently.
Grameenphone CEO, Oddvar Hesjedal inaugurated the day care center named Happy Hearts. Raihan Shamsi, Deputy CEO and CFO, Arnfinn Groven, CPO, Tanveer Mohammad, CTO and other senior officials of the company were present on the occasion. This is the third such day care center of the company. With a capacity of 250 children, Happy Hearts is the largest corporate day care center in the country.
Grameenphone is one of the first corporate bodies in Bangladesh to open a day care center for its employees. The first Happy Hearts started its journey in 2006.
During the inauguration the CEO declared that Grameenphone has decided to increase the maternity leave for its female employees from four months to six months.
He hoped that the expansion of maternity leave and establishment of the daycare center will especially help the female employees to pursue their career in a comfortable environment.
