Grameenphone WiFi to keep passengers connected on Green Line buses

Passengers of Green Line Bus Service operating in the Dhaka-Cox’s Bazaar and Dhaka- Sylhet route will be able to use Internet availing WiFi connectivity provided through Grameenphone’s 3G devices.

The service has been inaugurated today by Md. Abdus Sattar General Manager, Green Line Paribahan and Mr. Sazzad Alam, Head of Direct Sales, Grameenphone today in the presence of Mr. Mohammad Alauddin, Proprietor of Green Line Paribahan and Md. Baqui Billah, Head of Business Sales, Grameenphone along with other officials from both organizations.

This is the first such initiative to provide Internet connectivity to inter district bus passengers in Bangladesh. Speaking on the occasion Green Line Proprietor said that the service will be introduced in all routes where Green Line operates in the future. The service will help the passengers to remain connected to the cyber world during their long journey.

Grameenphone has an ambition to provide “Internet for All” in Bangladesh. The company has taken various initiatives to make access to internet easier for the people and this is another such innovative initiative.
