Grameenphone won the prestigious Connected World Award for it SMS based “Mobile Health Tips” service at Connected World Forum.
On November 20, 2012 based on external votes and jury's verdict, the forum declared Grameenphone as the winner in‘Innovation in Mobile VAS’ Category in the award ceremony was held in Dubai.
Grameenphone competed with 67 operators of different countries to be shortlisted as finalists in Innovation in Mobile VAS Award Category. The other competitors in that category were Astute Systems Technology Pvt. Ltd, DataDyne, Spectrum Mobile Ltd and Yo Uganda Limited.
