Grameenphone's Amar Desh, Amar Gorbo drew huge crowd

Spontaneous participation from mass people marked the passage of Grameenphone's Victory day Program Amar Desh Amar Gorbo.

Freedom fighters, Grameenphone employees and participating general people sang the National Anthem with eminent singers of the country in the program held at the south plaza of National Parliament.

The Honorable State Minister of Liberation War Affairs Captain (Retired) A. B. Tajul Islam, was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Oddvar Hesjedal, CEO, and Kazi Monirul Kabir, CCO, Grameenphone were present on the occasion. Ministry of Liberation War Affairs held Grameenphone in arranging the program.

Victory Day on December 16th is a day of pride and success for the whole nation. The country has come a long way since independence and achieved enviable success while facing numerous odds. To commemorate this day Grameenphone employees gathered at the parliament building at 4.30 pm, the moment when our victory was declared. They sang our National Anthem "Amar Sonar Bangla" with the people present there. Asaduzzaman Nur, MP, recite a poem earlier in the program.

Popular music composer and freedom fighter Ahmed Imtiaz Bulbul conduct music in the program. Leading senior and young singers, including singers from Shawdihin Bangla Betar Kendro led the chorus.

The whole program was telecasted live through NTV, Channel I, ATN Bangla, ATN News, RTV, Desh TV, ETV, Bangla Vision, Boishakhi TV and Diganta Television and also broadcasted by Radio Furti, Radio Today, Radio Amar and ABC Radio.
