The 10th Grameenphone President Cup Golf Tournament 2011 (Pro-Am) was officially inaugurated today, 4h May, 2012 at the Kurmitola Golf Club (KGC).

General Md Abdul Mubeen, ndc, psc, Chief of Army Staff and President, Kurmitola Golf Club was the Chief Guest at the official Tee-off session.  Tore Johnsen, CEO of Grameenphone was the Special Guest on the occasion.

More than 500 local and expatriate members of the club and other golfers are taking part in this prestigious golf tournament.

Grameenphone has been sponsoring the President Cup Golf Tournament from the very beginning. Apart from President Cup Golf Tournament, we also sponsored golf tournaments in Savar Golf Club and Bhatiary Golf Club, Chittagong. Last year Grameenphone also sponsored the first ever Asian Development Tour in Bangladesh.

Grameenphone has always been a major patron of sports in the country and is the official sponsor of the Men's and Women's National Football Team. It has been involved with National Cricket Team for a long time. Grameenphone is also associated with Special Olympics Bangladesh since 2007.
