Grameenphone is supporting the newly formed Women Support and Investigation Division (WSID) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) to establish a help line.
Grameenphone CCO Kazi Monirul Kabir handed over Grameenphone connections and handsets to Mohammad Abdul Jalil, Additional Commissioner Admin & Finance of DMP on August 10, 2011.
Chief of Women Support and Investigation Division Ms. Rockhfar Sultana Khanam, Ms. Ayesha Siddika of WSID, Debashis Roy Head of Corporate Responsibility and Md. Hasan, Public Relations official of Grameenphone were present on the occasion.
Women Support and Investigation Division (WSID) has been set up to address Gender Based Violence in DMP area. Women violence victims will be able to use this help line to seek police help.
