Grameenphone launches unreleased tracks of pop guru Azam Khan
Grameenphone Ltd. launched two unreleased tracks of Azam Khan to pay tribute to the late pop guru whose popularity transcended generations of music lovers of Bangladesh.
The fans, subscribing Grameenphone will be able to download the songs”””˜Khojo Kare’ &‘Indi Bindi Sindhi’ of the pop legend as well as to set those as Welcome Tunes.
The singer, composer, song writer and valiant freedom fighter died on June 5, 2011 after suffering from oral and lungs cancer.
Some of his famous numbers are Abhimani, Ashi Ashi, High Court-er Majare, Ami Jare Chaire, Ore Saleka, Jibane Kichu Pabona Re, Alal O Dulal, Rail Line-er Oi Bastite and He Allah He Allah Re.
All the proceeds from the two songs will be handed over to the family members of Azam Khan. Mr. Partha Barua, the prominent musician of the country was in charge of the overall music direction of the two songs. Mr. Ziaul Hasan Pial, the composer and lyricist of‘Khojo Kare’, will not take any proceedings from the song.

She also thanked Grameenphone for taking the initiatives to release the songs.
