Grameenphone supported the “Career Boot Camp” arranged recently by the Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) of North South University for NSU students.

The day long workshop had sessions on Smart CV writing techniques, Interview Tips and Tricks, Interview Simulation, interactive feedback session. HR Professionals & different functional leaders from Grameenphone conducted these sessions. 200 students from different departments of NSU participated in this workshop and got on-campus recruitment opportunities.

In the opening ceremony Mr. Benajir Ahmed, Chairman & Founder Life Member, NSU Trust was the Chief Guest, & Mr. Quazi Mohammad Shahed, Chief Human Resources Officer, Grameenphone attended as Special Guest. The program was chaired by Prof. Amin U. Sarkar, Vice Chancellor & CEO, NSU. Speakers focused on corporate networking, mutual collaboration & different aspects of career building along with interactive discussions.

Students were highly pleased to be able to participate in a practical simulation of real job hunting process and interview. HR Professionals & NSU alumni from Grameenphone have also appreciated the effort to impart knowledge to the potential corporate executives from NSU.

Grameenphone has been judged as best employer in Telecom sector by a recent survey conducted by Nielsen. Last year the company introduced a management trainee Program named ‘Next Business Leader’ which so far employed 18 fresh graduates. As part of Telenor Group employees of Grameenphone also have scope to work for other business units of Telenor. Currently 23 such employees are working in Asia and Europe.
