Grameenphone Ltd. introduced a revised tariff rate for its Smile pre-paid package recently. The new reduced tariff was introduced with an announcement of a special promotion for the unbelievably low tariff rate of Tk. 0.30/minute, from 12 am to 7 am.
Under the new tariff revision, Smile subscribers can call any other GP number at Tk. 2.00/minute and any other operators’ number at Tk.2.50/minute. This flat rate is applicable any time of the day or night. A special promotional rate of Tk. 0.30/minute is effective for calls to any GP number between 12 am and 7 am, for a limited period.
The tariff rates and monthly fees have also been revised for Xplore Package 1 and Package 2 subscribers – Package 1subscribers will pay Tk. 1.90/minute for calls to any operator (down from Tk. 2.50/minute) and the line rent has been dropped from Tk. 150 to Tk. 100 per month. Xplore Package 2 subscribers will also enjoy a reduced monthly package fee of Tk. 1000 (down from Tk. 1200) and a reduced Tariff rate of Tk. 1.50/minute (down from Tk. 2.25/minute). Beyond these reductions Xplore subscribers will continue to enjoy the other same benefits including free BTTB-incoming.
Additionally, Xplore Package 1 and Package 2 subscribers will also enjoy the special limited-time promotional rate of Tk.0.30/minute to any GP number from 12 am to 7am. The peak and off-peak times for Xplore Package 1 have been revised from 7 am to 12 am and 12 am to 7am respectively for the promotional period.
